Accident blackspot
Feb. 7th, 2006 09:59 pmOut little accident black spot nearly claimed a new victim today, and I was there to see it.
This didn't happen in the usual place, but actually on the roundabout. From what I saw, someone going around the roundabout suddenly decided that he really wanted to leave the roundabout, rather than going further round. Despite being past the normal turning point, he simply turned off, cutting off car that was just behind him.
Fortunately, the driver behind had faster reactions than me, and managed to swerve out the way, and stop, managing a 90 degree spin in the process. I didn't see the second drivers reaction when he pulled up beside the first driver, but I suspect that it was less than polite.
