Job Contract
May. 9th, 2009 09:38 pmIt appears that the people at my current work place are a) happy with my work, b) mad or c) desperate, because they are talking about extending my contract till September time. I've got until Monday to decide if I want to accept the extension.
I'm think about the pluses and minuses
- If a perm job comes up, I'm in the contract for quite a few month.
- The disruption of traveling carries on for longer
+ I have a guaranteed source of money for several more months.
+ Since I'm settling in for the long run, I can do more preparation and settle down to minimise the disruption.
The only significant issue is the finding a perm job one, and I suspect that I could agree a 1 month notice period, rather than a straight 3 month extension period.
Hmmm. Thoughts any one?
