I feel like an ape that's just realised what fire is for, after the neighbours have been cooking dinner for years.
I have long(ish) hair. I like it. However, it can get in the way when shaving and washing, so a while back, I got a hair band to hold it out the way.
This mostly works, except that it slips and pings itself off, and across the room at odd moments.
So recently, I had a thought: What if I could clip the hair band in place, using something that would clip it to my hair. Possibly ... hair clips? Doh!
Having done that it works perfectly.

I use hair clamps to keep my hair out of the way, when it's not ponytailed or plaited. :) Like this one - not pretty, but functional. Works well on hair like mine - really thick.

Of course, it does depend exactly how long your hair is, and I'm not sure if it'd work on yours. Or even if you'd try it. *grin*

I think my hair's too short and fine for that sort of thing (if you look at the photo I posted, that's my hair as it is), but the hair band and clips works perfectly for me.
